Facilitating Access Arrangements in Exams
This short online course is designed for staff facilitating access arrangements in exams, including invigilators, curriculum/academic/teaching staff and support staff.
Access arrangements play a vital role in ensuring that students are able to demonstrate their knowledge and skills without being disadvantaged by a barrier unrelated to the assessment itself. When delivered well, they support fairness, confidence and exam integrity.
This course focuses on the practical delivery of facilitating access arrangements in exams, grounded in Joint Council for Qualifications requirements and informed by real exam-room experience. It is not about policy interpretation or eligibility decisions. Instead, it is about helping you feel confident, clear and compliant in your role.
With great care, we have meticulously designed this course to ensure optimal learning outcomes for our participants. The content has been organised into manageable, bite-sized sections. However, we understand that everyone has unique learning preferences and requirements. Hence, should you require additional time to absorb the material you are encouraged to revisit any sections of the course as frequently as needed to solidify your understanding.
Upon joining this online course, you will be granted unrestricted access throughout the entirety of the academic year in which it was purchased. You will have access until 31st July 2026.
