Is mentoring only for new Exam Officers?
Not at all. While mentoring can be invaluable for those new to the role, experienced professionals also benefit from having an expert sounding board, fresh perspective, and support with complex situations.
How is mentoring different from training?
Training focuses on developing knowledge and understanding. Mentoring goes a step further by providing personalised support, practical guidance, and the opportunity to discuss your specific challenges with an experienced professional.
How are mentoring sessions delivered?
Sessions are delivered online in 1-1 sessions, allowing you to access support wherever you are based. This makes it easy to fit mentoring around your schedule and workload.
What can I discuss during a mentoring session?
Sessions can cover any aspect of your role, including exam series preparation, workload management, processes and procedures, confidence building, professional development, and navigating challenging situations.
Can mentoring help me prepare for my first exam series?
Absolutely. Many new Exam Officers find mentoring particularly valuable as they prepare for key milestones throughout the academic year. Your mentor can help build confidence and provide guidance based on their own experience.
Do I need to be a member to book mentoring?
No. However, customers who book our academic year mentoring package receive free membership to our Hub, giving them access to additional resources and support for that academic year.
